Storm Damage – Storage Barn (Bridgnorth)

A collapse of a storage barn near Bridgnorth in 2013, due to overloading from snow - DPM Ltd have taken over the repair phase and project management of the rebuild. DPM Ltd in conjunction with a local planning designer and structural engineer have sought to gain planning consent from the local authority and building control approval via an independent inspector.

Dashwood Project Management Ltd were requested by loss adjusters and the client in April 2014 to take over and oversee the repair phase of a collapsed barn due to a weather event overloading the structure. The barn was already cleared from site before our instruction, arranged by others. Working jointly with other local designers & planning consultants and structural engineers, planning consent has been achieved to rebuild the barn under the supervision of DPM Ltd. The rebuild commenced in April 2015 following a full tender exercise overseen by DPM Ltd and included a new concrete slab and foundation. The new barn structure was completed in Autumn 2015 with the driveway completed Spring 2016.
