Fire Damage – Council House in Tamworth (timber framed)

A 1970's mid-terraced timber framed Council house, subject to extensive fire damage requiring demolition and rebuild to reinstate. Full planning consent necessary, Party Wall agreement and subject to CDM Regulations. Dashwood Project Management Ltd appointed as surveyors and project managers.

Dashwood Project Management Ltd were requested in November 2014  to act for the client (Tamworth Borough Council) and on behalf of loss adjusters, to prepare a schedule of works and specification and to project manage the demolition and rebuild of a mid-terraced Council owned dwelling, subject to extensive fire damage in Tamworth and under a buildings insurance claim.

Dashwood Project Management Ltd have subsequently worked in conjunction with the appointed architect to seek planning consent and building regulation approval, as well as liaising with the appointed CDM-C on H&S issues and pre-construction information as a designer. Dashwood Project Management Ltd also acted for the Building owner with regards to Party Wall matters. Demolition and site clearance commenced in early February 2015 and reinstatement works  commenced on site in May 2015 following planning consent approvals and party wall consent. Works completed and signed off early 2016.
